Who We Are

Our Mission

To share knowledge with people of all nations about the Lakota culture, way of living, language, dance and art, through educational workshops, guest speakers, tipi camp, excursions, and other programs.

About Us

We are a Native non-profit organization on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation that provides an authentic experience for visitors on the land of the Lakota People of South Dakota. We offer two-week tipi camps each summer. Profits from our operation support the Lakota Waldorf School.

The Lakota Tipi Camp is governed and run by a dedicated Board of Trustees:

  • Charles D. White Buffalo, President
  • Didier DuPont, Treasurer
  • Joyce A. Little Whiteman, Board member
  • Isabel Stadnick, Secretary
